Cousins Have Fun Pushing Each Other Through Tough As Nails Course

WHEELING – Cousins Robert Treglia and Heather Lind, both of Pittsburgh, have been enjoying challenge courses together for a few years after Treglia challenged Lind to try one in 2019.

They did the Ogden Newspapers Tough As Nails last year and had so much fun that they decided to take it on again on Sunday.

Treglia said his favorite part of the course was the rope pull. He also enjoys the urban aspect of the overall course.

Lind said participating in such non-competitive races is enjoyable because of the camaraderie of the crowd, though it is nice to have a family member to push her along the course.

“I love the challenge of it and to see if I can do it,” she said.

Lind said the most challenging part of the course for her was the Stairway to Heaven.

“I hate those stairs,” she said, adding she believed she might conquer them this year.

Lind said those on the fence about trying Tough As Nails or another course should take the first step and sign up.

“Signing up is the hardest part,” she said.

The cousins added to the fun of the day by wearing comical T-Shirts. Treglia’s Shirt said “Everything hurts and I’m hungry,” while Lind’s shirt said “Please. Help. Me.”
